Scott has been in Wasco County since 1991 when he became the Executive Director of the Port of The Dalles. He was with the Port for 14+ years, moving on at the conclusion of the land deal with Google. In addition to serving as a County Commissioner, he is currently the principal of a consulting firm in the construction sector.
He was born in Spokane, Washington and graduated from high school there and went on to the University of Idaho where he obtained a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following his undergraduate studies he earned a Masters in Business Administration from Washington State University.
Scott has been married to Betsy for over 25 years and they have two children Samantha and Sydney. They live in a rural part of the County on 12 acres between The Dalles and Mosier. He enjoys the rural life and is an avid snow skier and outdoor enthusiast.
