- Talk about the consequences with friends and family and tell them you think it hurts innocent people
- If you find any signs, contact your local road department or law enforcement
- Report all missing or vandalized signs as soon as possible to your local Law Enforcement

- There were over 100 stop, yield, warning, and destination signs removed or seriously damaged in Wasco County last year.
- In Wasco County last year, the cost to repair those signs was over $5200.
- In the United States last year, one out of every 10 signs was either defaced or mutilated
- The yearly cost of sign vandalism in the United States is $50 million.
Save Signs Save Lives
Sign vandalism has become a major problem in Wasco County. Removing and defacing signs cause:
- Increased accidents
- Emergency vehicles to be delayed;
- Confusion to motorists;and

- Recycle the signs for money;

- Wanted one for my room.
What are the Consequences?
