Caretakers of the Wasco County Fairgrounds and Hunt RV Park - Sid & Cyndie Moss

To the Residents of Wasco County, my wife Cyndie and I took over as caretakers of the Wasco County Fairgrounds in April of 2003.

Cyndie earned her Handicapped Learners Paraprofessional training certificate at Eastern Oregon State College and works at The Dalles Wahtonka High School with special needs students. I have earned an associate's degree in Drug and Alcohol Counseling at Mt. Hood Community College.

We both grew up in this area and graduated from Wasco County Union High School. We were "high school sweethearts" and we've been married for 30 years. We have three children and four beautiful grandchildren.

We lived in the John Day area for 11 years after the mills went down. We are glad to be back here since all of our parents are here, and we love the area. I stay pretty busy; there's always something to do. Cyndie helps out in the summer time. We look forward to renewing old friendships and meeting new people.
